For charging your Nexus S in your car, we highly recommend this high-power micro USB car charger. There are other car chargers that let you utilize an existing micro-USB cable but we don’t recommend that route as we’ve personally experienced tangling of wires and worse, losing the small micro-USB charging unit.
This Motorola micro USB car charger comes with a cord that can be extended and also kept short when not needed. You can get this on Amazon for just $5.09.
Of course, if you have other USB gadgets you want to charge, you can get a multi-USB car charger and use a micro USB cable so you can charge your Nexus S and iPhone at the same time.
Also, if you want to charge your laptop in your car and have portable USB supply, we highly recommend this Duracell Powersource Mobile 100, which can be used in your car to charge up to 2 USB devices and your laptop. That’s not all, it is also equipped with a battery unit that’s able to power your laptop additional 2 hours. (or your Nexus S probably for a week!) It’s a bit pricey but certainly a great option.
If you don’t need the battery functionality, there’s also a much cheaper version, Duracell Power Inverter that comes with 1 USB charging port and an AC for your laptop.
